Our most common treatments

IVF
Ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilisation in our laboratory and embryo transfer, closely monitored at every step.
ICSI
A single selected sperm is injected into each mature egg. Especially helpful when there is a male factor.
Egg donation
A real chance of pregnancy for women with ovarian insufficiency or repeated failed cycles, with pregnancy rates of up to 70% at our clinic.
Insemination (IUI)
A gentler treatment: prepared sperm is placed in the uterus at the right moment of your cycle.
Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT)
Genetic testing of eggs and embryos before transfer, for a better chance of a healthy pregnancy.
Egg, embryo and sperm freezing
Freezing of eggs, embryos and sperm by vitrification. Greece’s first babies after vitrification were born here.
Ovarian rejuvenation (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma from your own blood, for women with a low ovarian reserve.
Sperm DNA fragmentation test
A specialised test of the genetic quality of sperm, useful after failed cycles or miscarriages.

Days 1–12
Ovarian stimulation
Medicines help several eggs mature at once. We monitor you with ultrasound scans and blood tests.
−36 hours
Trigger injection
The hCG injection completes the maturation of the eggs. We tell you exactly when to take it.
Retrieval day
Egg retrieval
Done under a short anaesthetic; it takes no more than 10 minutes. Please don’t eat for about 7 hours beforehand.
+16 hours
Fertilisation
In our laboratory, by conventional IVF or ICSI. After 16 hours we check which eggs have fertilised.
+2–5 days
Embryo transfer
Painless, with a thin catheter. Extra embryos can be frozen for the future.
Afterwards
Pregnancy test
You take progesterone as support until the day of the pregnancy test.
